Healthy teeth for a lifetime: no drilling, no fear of the dentist - who hasn't dreamed of that? This needn't remain a dream. Specific preventive measures and prophylactic dental care can prevent future caries almost entirely. Periodontal diseases, i.e. diseases of the gums etc., can also be avoided.
The IHCF is committed to making new scientific knowledge from research available to dental practices quickly so that patients can profit from it as soon as possible. To this end, the IHCF organizes PR campaigns for the public about the latest developments in oral health - with the aim of bringing modern preventive dental care directly to the patient.
Tooth preservation must be given its due within the program of health care for the entire body. International know-how must be collected and evaluated. Which measures lead to what success? Total Quality Management in oral prevention and health maintenance is a major issue. The IHCF works in this area.
